Living On Purpose

When contemplating the future, children are not usually asked what would make them happy. Instead, they are asked to consider what will make them the most money. From a narrow, patterned sociological perspective, they are told what success looks like and that it should satisfy them. As children, they interpret this to mean success equals happiness, but they discover that, as adults, nothing could be further from the truth.
A clear purpose acts like a compass, directing and honing focus on what truly matters. It guides us to doing what we love...what makes us happy. Because if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life...you never burn out. Understanding your purpose fuels motivation. On challenging days, it gives you a reason to keep going and helps you build resilience against setbacks, as you have a greater vision to strive toward. Purpose provides a sense of fulfillment and can contribute to overall happiness, as you are engaged in meaningful activities.
